Technical Buyer

As our new Technical Buyer, you play a vital role in our process: you ensure that our assembly technicians have the machine components they need at exactly the right moment, while also driving improvements in our purchasing activities. Your challenge as an Technical Buyer

As a Technical Buyer, you are responsible for purchasing machine components and machinery for our assembly department. You take care of all purchasing administration and processing within our ERP system. You link components to the correct suppliers and evaluate our product assortment. You also focus on implementing improvements: Are there opportunities to purchase more efficiently? Are we sourcing components from the right suppliers? These are the types of questions you will be working on.

In addition, you generate daily purchasing-related reports and maintain contact with suppliers. You also take ownership of resolving purchasing issues, such as handling components that are temporarily out of stock.

Who are we?

We are Lantech, a healthy and rapidly growing international company in the machine‑building industry. We design, build, and service packaging machines, transport modules, and related systems. We work with large multinationals in the food industry as well as local entrepreneurs.

From our Dutch location in Malden, we develop and assemble case‑ and tray‑handling machines. With more than 250 committed colleagues and a strong network of partners, we manage sales and service throughout Europe.

Your background as a Technical Buyer 

• You have an MBO working and thinking level;

• A NEVI Mil training is an advantage;

• Affinity with purchasing and technology;

• Experience in purchasing technical goods;

• knowledge and experience with an ERP package;

• You are stress resistant, proactive and have a 'hands-on' attitude;

• Good command of the Dutch and English language, German.
